Our dish — the plate we'd order here firstRed mullet, a small Mediterranean fish
Red mullet, one of only four seafood dishes on a card kept short on purpose. The fish we'd go for.

Greek · psarotaverna (fish taverna) · red mullet and shrimps · Piraeus, Athens
Leof. Chatzikyriakou 126, Piraeus 185 38
A fish taverna at the gate of the naval academy in Piraeus, named for the cook from Mykonos who opened it. Margaro's son Lazaros cut the card to fish, salad and the family's own retsina, resin-scented wine, and Lazaros's children and grandchildren keep it that way.
